After earning his medical degree, Dr. Veras completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital, affiliated with New York Medical College. He further specialized in the care of older adults by completing a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Miami, gaining advanced expertise in the unique healthcare needs of aging patients.
Dr. Veras has a special interest in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and healthy aging. With more than 30 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Girala is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care focused on helping patients achieve lifelong health and wellness. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Southern California in 1994 before completing his internship and residency at California Hospital Medical Center, where he was recognized for his leadership by serving as Chief Resident.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Girala has cared for patients at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Key Biscayne Medical Center, and Medicus Medical Group. His commitment to clinical excellence and physician leadership led to his appointment as Chief of Staff at Mercy Hospital in Miami.
